There are great opportunities for trained personnel in the port and maritime sectors, as more ports are coming up both on the east and west coasts, but there are very few training institutes to meet the requirement, according to Capt. Sriram Ravi Chander, Chief Operating Officer of the Visakha Container Terminal Private Ltd (VCTPL).
He was speaking at a function on Monday on the occasion of handing over certificates to students of the Visakha Institute of Port Management, being run by the VCTPL.
